You built a system to finish
Most people don’t rise to the occasion
Premature celebration went wrong — South Korea lost their gold medal in the Men’s 3000m roller skate relay at the Asian Games because the finishing player chose to celebrate early (by lifting his arms), losing by 0.01 second to Taiwan.
The South Korean players in the roller skate relay team now have to go through 18 months of national service, because without the gold medal, they are not entitled to sporting exemptions for their mandatory military service.
During the press, the Taiwan player mentioned that despite falling behind near the last turn, he sprinted and took the outer turn to fight for the chance to overtake his opponent.
In contrast to the South Korean players who lifted his arms early thus slowing down his own momentum. He managed to secure the №1 spot by pressing his left leg forward near the finishing line and managed to hit the line just 0.01 second earlier than his opponent.

There are coaches who insist players warm up properly, complete the boring practice routine, and never let their guard down until the end of the game.
It’s a system that they are teaching, by having the right setup (preparation), consistency (comes from practising the routine), and finishing (mental toughness to hold the lead or make a potential comeback run)
