It’s okay to have slow days when you are reading.
It’s never a competition when you are reading.
Some books took me two months to finish, some took a week. I have never been a “I need to read 6 books within a quarter” person.
There are contents that take longer to comprehend so you could add them to your knowledge base properly.
The worst thing I can do is force myself to swallow contents that I don’t understand and think I’ve learnt, then decide to not look at it anymore.
I used to think switching between books was a bad habit.
Then I realised nothing wrong with putting down a book and revisiting it when I am equipped with better knowledge and experiences.
Admitting what I don’t know even if I am only by myself is one valuable lesson reading taught me.
If you are reading and stuck with a book for quite some time already, and you are thinking about starting a new one. Do it, and happy reading!
